We found this video on our favorite tech blog Gizmodo, and we agree there are some serious design flaws. We THINK they are trying to build an ice cream sundae, but by the time the spoon lands in the dish the ice cream, if that's really what it is, is half melted. Not good form. With Japan's technology and their love for buttery pastries, we foresee big advances coming soon. Stay tuned.

08.25.09Our 7th & Pike Store Coming Soon!We are very excited to announce that our 6th Blue C Sushi will soon be opening in Downtown Seattle on of 7th & Pike (across from the movies theaters on 7th ave. where the old New Balance store used to be). 08.24.09The “Green” Tokyo Gundam ProjectThis new sculpture is attracting loads of visitors to it's home in Odaiba, Japan. This statue is a part of a plan to attract the 2016 Olympic Games to Tokyo. Tokyo is trying to set itself apart from the other cities by becoming a more green and environmentally friendly site for the games. While there is nothing green about the statue, nor is there any environmental messaging near the site, the money raised from souvenir sales will go toward planting trees and adding lawns to school grounds across the country.

08.20.09Big Man Japan Movie TrailerA feature film came out in Japan last spring, titled Big Man Japan, by Hitoshi Matsumoto. This appears to be a great flick about a giant ex-superhero. Daisato, the start character, is transformed into a giant once shocked by electricity, and he is entrusted with defending Japan from a host of bizarre monsters. If you are one of those people who fundamentally need to absorb all things Japanese this is a must add to your netflicks cue.

08.12.09Never change your underpants again! Japan out innovates us again.Recently a Japanese astronaut, Koichi Wakata, was sent to space for a special assignment to test a magical pare of underpants. He was given a mission: don't change your underpants for 1 whole month! We are all impressed with his bravery. These magical underpants claim to be; water-absorbent, anti microbial, flame resistant, and most important of all, odor resistant. The jury is still out to determine whether the underpants lived up to their expectations.

I'm sure it's soon to come in Tokyo, but we'll give Montreal the credit for being the first to have an LED wall that senses pedestrians and reacts to their movements.
