The 2010 Blue C Sushi Eating Contest. Do you have what it takes?

munch_madness

For years we have contemplated hosting the ultimate sushi eating showdown and 2010 proved to be the year to pull the trigger and make it happen.  Why now?  Well, it turns out that our guests are very loyal to particular Blue C stores so we decided we could add an extra layer of interest by having eating contest winners from each store compete against each other for the ultimate bragging rights.  Think you have what it takes to represent?  If so, here is how the competition works.

Each of our six stores will host a qualifying competition wherein 5 eaters battle it out to carry the flag of “Store Champion”.  Each Store Champion will receive a $50 Blue C gift card and additional Blue C gear.  Most importantly, they will advance on to the final round that will be held at our original Fremont location in mid April. All contests will be to see who can eat the most plates of cucumber rolls in a 10 minute period.

How do you get to be one of the five contestants at each store? Simple - just email us at eatingcontest@bluecsushi.com.  List your top three store locations, in order of preference, and tell us why we should pick you to participate.  There is no entry fee, but you will need to sign a waiver.

The final competition will follow the same format as the individual store competitions. The grand prize winner will receive an official Blue C Sushi Eating Competition Winner T-Shirt, a Blue C Plate Set and $200 cash!

The store contest dates are as follows; each competition will take place at 2:30pm:

March 20th – Fremont

March 21st – University Village

March 27th – Alderwood

March 28th – Southcenter

April 10th – Bellevue

April 11th – Downtown

Good luck and we hope to hear from you soon!

The fine print: No entry fee. Must be 18 years of age or older to participate. Must sign waiver. If store winner cannot be present for the final competition, the 2nd place contestant will advance in their absence.
